2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, the longest-running science fiction series in the world; the first episode was broadcast on 23 November 1963.
Royal Mail celebrate the anniversary with
- a special set of 11 stamps showing the Doctors
- a self-adhesive miniature sheet showing the Tardis and some of the Doctor's enemies
- a self-adhesive retail booklet containing 4 x Tardis stamps and different versions of the Doctors 1 and 11 stamps
- a prestige stamp booklet
- a Generic Smilers Sheet.

This is the 1st class Tardis stamp from the Generic Smilers Sheet printed in litho by Cartor Security Printing.
The stamp will be supplied with one of 20 different labels. The labels show various incarnations of the Doctor's foes - Cyberman, Dalek, Silurian, Sontaran, and The Master. Your choice of label will be provided if possible; please provide details in 'Additional Information' at checkout.
The stamp is perforated 14¾
x 14, with 6.5mm phosphor bands on either side, 4.5mm solid and 2mm gradated.
