2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, the longest-running science fiction series in the world; the first episode was broadcast on 23 November 1963.
Royal Mail celebrate the anniversary with

This is the 1st class Tardis stamp with ordinary gum, from the definitive pane of the prestige stamp booklet, printed in litho by Cartor Security Printing.
The stamp is perforated 14¾ x 14, with 6.5mm phosphor bands on either side, 4.5mm solid and 2mm gradated.
