Product Description
13 February 2019 - Leonardo Da Vinci prestige stamp book first day coverOn the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci his finest drawings from Royal
Collection Trust are being displayed during 2019 at 12 museums and galleries across the United Kingdom. Twelve special stamps will be issued showing a selection of these drawings, and these will also be issued in a prestige stamp book which also contains a single pane of Machin definitives.
The Machin definitive pane from the PSB contains 2 x 5p, 4 x 10p and 2 x £1.55 stamps. The 5p stamp was previously issued in the Royal Air Force PSB but on those the MPIL appears as M IL, and the stamps are separately listed in the Stanley Gibbons Concise catalogue. The £1.55 is a new stamp with ordinary gum.
This is a set of 3 Machin definitives coded M18L MPIL on Royal Mail Leonardo FDC with Windsor first day postmark showing the Artist. (Image is not an exact reproduction: the postmark will probably be smaller than shown.)
Norvic numbers: 4005P.8a, 4010P.8 and 4155p.8. (The 5p from the RAF PSB is 4005P.8)
