Panes 2 & 3 are printed by Enschede in the intaglio or recess process and faithfully reproduce the Seahorse high value definitives and the British Empire Exhibition commemoratives.
The Machin definitive pane 4 is self-adhesive by Walsall Security Print containing stamps with new security codes not available elsewhere, and pane 1 is printed in litho by Cartor.
A set of 4 Royal Mail first day covers with the Lion first day of issue handstamp on all 4 panes.
The definitive stamp pane is type A with a break only in the lower security arc.
