6 May 2010 The King's Stamps Seahorses miniature sheet on Royal Mail first day cover.This prestige book has been printed by three printers. Panes 2 & 3 are printed by Enschede in the intaglio or recess process and faithfully reproduce the Seahorse high value definitives and the British Empire Exhibition commemoratives.
The Machin definitive pane 4 is self-adhesive by Walsall Security Print containing stamps with new security codes not available elsewhere, and pane 1 is printed in litho by Cartor.
A set of 4 Royal Mail first day covers, with a different handstamp on each pane:
- London 2010 Festival of Stamps logo on Machin definitive pane
- Britannia postmark on Seahorses pane
- Wembley tower postmark on British Empire Exhibition pane
- Business Design Centre postmark on Accession pane
The definitive stamp pane is type A with a break only in the lower security arc.
