Our cover shows the Crimea War memorial at Attleborough, Norfolk. There are relatively few memorials to the casualties of Crimea: most war memorials in towns and villages throughout the country commemorate the fallen of the 1914-18 and later wars.
The stamps are cancelled with the Inkerman Road, London special postmark.
