Product Description

New Post and Go machines manufactured by NCR were introduced into Post Office branches in 2014.  The first to be live were at Harpenden on 28 February.

The new machines can dispense both 1st and 2nd class Faststamps (the first machines to do so outside of stamp exhibitions) and Post and Go labels arenow printed on the same basic stamp instead of on larger white paper labels.  The stamps can be distinguished from Wincor and Hytech versions by the font and the data string.

The first set consisted of
1st class 100g, 1st Large 100g, Europe 20g, Worldwide 10g, Worldwide 20g and Worldwide 40g, and 2nd class 100g and 2nd Large 100g

Postage rates changed on 31 March and the Worldwide 10g and Worldwide 40g stamps were replaced by Europe 60g and Worldwide 60g.

Conversion of post offices continued rapidly through 2014, but without the old values.

This is a pair of the obsolete values from Leighton Buzzard PO.
