The booklet contains 2 x 1st class Commonwealth Games (Swimming) stamps and 4 x 1st class red Machin definitives, security coded M14L, MCIL
This booklet exists with wide variations in the vertical misplacement of phosphor bands leaving the stamps either short at the top or foot. Some booklets also have the iridescent layer out of register, shifted downwards
This is a pair of Games stamps from the booklet, with one short band at top and the other short band at foot, on the official Royal Mail Glasgow 2014 first day cover, cancelled with a 'swimming' postmark from Glasgow on the day of issue.
