USED 1st class Large Recorded Signed For single 2009 version - SG U2982
All stamps are on paper, cut-square, no tears. Some are white, others manilla paper,
Choose by reference letter; we will try to remove the options as individual stamps are sold, but if you get an error message which says 'Cannot add to basket', please choose a different stamp(s).
As most collectors know, Royal Mail have had the adhesive changed on the self-adhesive stamps to prevent them from being 'soaked off' in water. Many different methods have been tried to remove the stamps from paper - see this (international) discussion on Stampboards for a long discussion!
I know people who have removed stamps successfully with white spirit but these people have been removing them for reuse, not for collection.
It is my strong belief that used Machin security stamps should be collected on paper (or on cover!) preferably on white paper and cut neatly close (but not too close) to the stamps. They will look good in an album or stockbook, and no time will be wasted - or stamps damaged - in trying to soak them.
