Product Description

Britain's Coastlines (aerial views) - 19 March 2002

These 27p stamps (paying the 1st class inland rate) depict many different aspects of the coastline of Great Britain - sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, harbours, roadways and coastal forts.

The stamps have been designed by Richard Cooke, whose previous GB stamp designs were the 65p Farmer's Tale stamp (satellite farming, which showed an aerial photograph of a field), and the current 1st class Northern Ireland definitive, showing a patchwork of fields in Co. Londonderry.

The stamps show:

1. Studland Bay, Dorset, England

2. Luskentyre, South Harris, Scotland

3. Dover, Kent, England

4. Padstow, Cornwall, England

5. Broadstairs, Kent, England

6. St Abb's Head, Scottish Borders

7. Dunster Beach, Somerset, England

8. Newquay, Cornwall, England

9. Portush, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland

10. Conwy, North Wales
