Machin 1st class dark red forgeryDuring the last few years more and more 1st class forgeries have been produced in booklet and sheet form. Whilst most of these will easily fool the public most will not fool the experienced Machin collector. This type first appeared in late 2020 as a sheet of 99 but in early 2021 was found in booklets of 12.
The year code is MA12 (which doesn't of course exist on the small stamp only on 1st class Large), and that detail doesn't show under the fake phosphor bands. The elliptical perforation has straight sides, rather than curved. (The booklet stamp differs from this sheet version with wider imitation phosphor bands.)
These were bought online, at below face. Obviously we cannot sell them at below face but for all sales a donation will be made to charity, by arrangement with our supplier.
For this stamp we can offer singles (or blocks etc).
(We don't have any used copies, and of course it would be illegal to use them.)
