Interesting message. Addressee Miss Eva Moon, probably 'in service' at 3 Grosvenor Place in London's Belgravia. The house was occupied by William Henry Smith, grandson of the founder of the eponymous chain of bookstores and railway kiosks.
He was elected a Member of Parliament in 1868 and rose to the position of First Lord of the Admiralty less than ten years thereafter. In the mid-1880s, he was twice Secretary of State for War, and later First Lord of the Treasury and Leader of the House of Commons, among other posts. The family were still in the house in 1910.
Condition: Some bent corners from its long and winding journey.
