Excellent card of Butter Cross, Winchester, Hampshire. Clearly shows Allen's Confectioners.There is a deal of activity around the Cross with a number of men holding bundles of paper; one with what might be a newspaper display may be about a strike. Also a postbox missing the sign to the nearest post office. The area is now pedestrianised.
Unused, in excellent condition - may be 1950s or pre-war.
