17/09/14 British Blooms III - Winter GreeneryThis set broke with the format of the previous two by having only 4 designs, 2 with blue background for the 2nd class values and 2 with brown background for the 1st class.
These are stamps from the Kidderminster Wincor-Nixdorf machine on a Royal Mail first day cover and cancelled with the Woking postmark illustrated with holly.
Less than 12 PO branches had Wincor-Nixdorf dispensing Winter Greenery stamps (and at least one of these only had 2nd class stamps), so these FDCs are especially scarce.
The two stamp designs alternate through the values. We have one FDC starting with 1st class Holly, and one with 1st class Butcher's Broom. Thus the complete set of 12 different stamps is on the two covers - buy both at a discounted price.
